Here are a few things you can expect from IMMERSE 2019 this October 18-19 in Downtown Orlando.
The Worlds of Corkcicle Returns!
Last year, thousands of you visited the 12 immersive photo environments that were part of The Worlds of Corkcicle. This year, The Worlds of Corkcicle is back in a whole new way. More photo opportunities await. This year, they will be built out in 8 shipping containers. You can explore these never-before-seen worlds at Seneff Plaza at the Dr. Phillips Center October 18-27.
Last year, we built this giant ball pit. In 2019, the ball pit will return as part of The Worlds of Corkcicle. The container will open from the side, revealing thousands of balls and giving you a great opportunity to snap a pic!
You all took and shared tens of thousands of amazing photos last year. In 2019, you’ll find ALL NEW immersive photo environments to explore and capture!
The Architects of Air Comes To IMMERSE
This team of artist hails from the UK. They’ll be bringing one of their giant, inflatable structures to IMMERSE 2019. These “Luminaria” are made of translucent materials. The sun shines through to create magical corridors of color and light. You MUST experience this!!
More Interactive Installations Than Ever!
In addition to hundreds of performances, IMMERSE activates the streets and public spaces of Downtown Orlando with tons of interactive installations. This year, all new installations will come to life. For example, how about a maze full of shadow puppets, actors, lights, sound, and effects? It’s not a haunted house… but a journey through a magical world of creativity.
Here are two of our most popular interactive installations. “Dear Citizen O” invited people to write letters to each other through this pop up post office. Flora was an interactive experience that encouraged guests to consider the most meaningful moments of their lives. By the end of IMMERSE, this alleyway was filling with thousands of live flowers.
Below, Orlando Health invites you to use your body to digitally paint on the walls of this giant, 60’x25’ inflatable cube.
OUC Lights Return Bigger and Better!
Last year, you loved taking photos among the OUC Lights. This year, the experience will be bigger and better. Look for these lights to pop up in Orlando beginning mid-September. Then, they all come together in Downtown Orlando on October 18-19 for IMMERSE 2019!
